I'm a #backyardfarmer, trying to eek some sustenance out of a small, north-facing yard in the rainy Pacific Northwest. I grow fruit and vegetables and tinker at fruit wood/scion grafting. We have an egg coop, sharing chickens with our neighbor. My general goal is to have something fresh/local from our yard in every month of every season: #kale cherries nectarines peaches pears apples berries salad stuff herbs walnuts kiwi grapes artichokes asparagus garlic onions potatoes peas and more.
Better than expected results. I mostly grow brassicas and legumes, almost as if the results match my plans! A layer of compost and everyone will be happy. I can now free up my big containers for chilies and go in-ground with the cabbages, peas, and beans. Herbs have done very well in-ground already. More more more.
