Found an unexpected treat while cutting the grass this afternoon. A chill turtle was hanging out sunning himself in the taller grass where I don’t cut too often . I see him or one of his relatives every year, they’re likely looking for a spot to lay eggs. By the next time I passed that area, it had boogied back into the woods toward the swamp. #backyardnature #BackyardHabitats
