I got experimental at the Chinese supermarket today & bought a few drinks I’d never heard of before. First up is “Pennywort drink”. Good lord, it’s vile. It smells like the water my grandmother used to cook cabbage in (over the course of a week or so) & tastes exactly as you’d expect from the stench, just loaded with sugar in the taste equivalent of someone with bad BO wearing half a bottle of aftershave to cover it up
