When Build A Nation released in 2007, I'll be honest I didn't like it. I lived and breathed their first self-titled cassette in high school, so had a certain expectation. Now, 15 years on I appreciate it. The reggea tracks are beautiful and have killer bass lines. The punk/metal has grown on me - listening closely the dub influence is there in the fast songs.

Op zijn 12de volgt Dave gitaarles, en op zijn 13de wordt gaat hij met zijn zus op vakantie bij zijn nicht, die hem onderdompelt in punkmuziek.
In 1982 gaat hij met haar naar zijn eerste punkconcert, de band #NakedRaygun. Vanaf dan gaat hij volledig punk.
In zijn school speelt hij stukken van songs van oa #BadBrains over de intercom. Zijn moeder laat hem verhuizen van school omdat canabis gebruik zijn punten doet zakken. Op deze school
