My congressional reps at the federal level sponsored SOPA and PIPA. Their vote on the #BadInternetBills changes nothing about my opinion about them. However, if this passes, a bunch of others will likely change theirs... but it will be an uphill battle to reverse it. It seems many people would like to experience that uphill battle. Have at it.

European legislators, meanwhile, just decided to make free and #OpenSource software (#FOSS) development illegal with the #CyberResilienceAct (#CRA).

Why is it that legislators' first and only reaction, upon seeing a good thing, is to make it illegal?
