@strike Meanwhile, the #BadInternetBills proceed unimpeded with bipartisan support.
Pennsylvanians should tell Bob Casey not to support KOSA.
You can do so by writing to his contact page: https://www.casey.senate.gov/contact/share
KOSA is a huge threat to online privacy (like most bills that pretend to protect kids) and would further endanger people with marginalized identities: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2023/07/young-people-should-oppose-kids-online-safety-act

My congressional reps at the federal level sponsored SOPA and PIPA. Their vote on the #BadInternetBills changes nothing about my opinion about them. Congress has a bunch of assholes trying to shove laws to basically ban all encryption, queer content, and sexual material from the internet into the National Defense Authorization Act that's considered "must pass": https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2023/07/you-can-help-stop-these-bad-internet-bills
*sigh* fucking hell
Anyway, if you've got ways to take action against it, please do.
US #Congress members are trying to destroy the #Internet using the #EarnItAct, #StopCSAM Act, and the rest of the #BadInternetBills.
European legislators, meanwhile, just decided to make free and #OpenSource software (#FOSS) development illegal with the #CyberResilienceAct (#CRA).
Why is it that legislators' first and only reaction, upon seeing a good thing, is to make it illegal?
