"The Neanderthal Man" (1953) - A sabre-toothed tiger is spotted in rural California, and meanwhile Professor Groves has been experimenting with a serum which reverses a million years of evolution, or some shit like that. Hijinks ensue when the professor decides to experiment on himself and turn into a Grinch with a Harpo Marx wig. Highly recommended if you like #movies with people getting pissed off and yelling at each other for no discernible reason.

Watching, for the very first time in twenty-two years, _Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within_. This time I'm watching it with a commentary track (from the No One Can Know About This podcast hosts).

I have the same question I had back then (though I was less able to formulate it in 2001): Who is this movie FOR? It has none of the Final Fantasy trade dress except that they call one of the characters Cid. That's literally it.

It's a bad CG urban disaster-fantasy.

I watched this #badmovie last week and just…wow.

“Gramps” is the writer/director who goes back to college to prove to the science department that they are all wrong and god is real. Featuring my favorite anti science line of all time “If Natural Selection is real, how much does it weigh?”

It’s awful and unbelievably stupid but I had the absolute best time watching it. A girl dies from alcohol poisoning and is brought back through prayer.
