The premise? Absurd.
Lyrically? Atrocious.
Warren G as a rapper? Abysmal.

However - that Michael McDonald sample makes it all work so smoothly and I will belt out every damn lyric every damn time.

I know there’s a lot of backlash re: “Mary, Did You Know?” and without getting into the theological problems of that song, I finally figured out why it annoys me: it’s the Annunciation/Magnificat mansplained.
