Just in case you saw this paper about the benefits of "cold immersion" therapy going viral, it's actually a completely useless study. @gidmk has a good explanation here: https://nitter.net/GidMK/status/1633318873352241152

TL;DR While the study had a control group, it wasn't actually used during the analysis. The authors only did a before/after comparison within groups rather than between them. They also didn't correct for multiple comparisons.
