Vielleicht komme ich doch irgendwann zu meinem selbstgebauten #Pedelec, der Untergang von vanMoof bestätigt mich bisher in meiner Entscheidung zu allem, was ich trotz grosser Technik-Begeisterung _nicht_ haben will.

Bummed that my #Bafang #BBSHD didn't come with a connector to power headlights.. but I've got my #Cetma Margo with a #TSDZ2 that *does* have headlight connectors, & a dynamo hub on the front wheel. So I can move the dynamo hub wheel onto the BBSHD Cetma Largo, & use that for lighting. The TSDZ2 Cetma Margo can switch to using the ebike motor/battery for powering lights.

But seriously, why would you make an ebike motor w/out light connections? (newer BBSHDs now include connectors, I think)

More bits for the cheap #ebike project on the way, getting the jank brake levers replaced with hopefully non-jank ones that have built in #bafang compatible sensors. Should reduce the spongyness too.

The #Surly Long Haul Trucker touring #ebike conversion with #bafang is a very good touring bicycle option.

Mais bon c'est comme avec les kit d'électrification #Bafang qui permettent d'aller facilement à 45km/h mais qui ne permettent pas d'être aux normes... il faut bien que certains commencent sinon ces pratiques ne seront jamais "légalisées" !

I want to add a mid-drive motor (#Bafang or more likely #Tongsheng TSDZ2) to this #Cetma:

It has an Enviolo/Nuvinci rear hub, and an #EccentricBottomBracket to tension the chain. I don't really want to switch away from the Nuvinci to a derailleur, but the motor will most certainly not permit the eccentric BB to move & will be replaced w/ an adapter.

Any else done this, and have a suggested chain tensioner model that will work w/ this kind of hub?

Surly needs to make Bike Frames with torque arm attachment boss points so #bafang bottom bracket insert motors & rear and front hub motors can be easily installed. Maybe analyze and provide any needed strength for torque if necessary.

This would probably just be an new “feature” to a few of their existing great frames, that many are using to build custom e-bikes. (Troll, Ogre, Trucker, Big Dummy)
