Maybe a brief explanation is due here. An idol I followed captioned a photo “Tapiocaeyes/タピオカアイ.” What did this mean? I asked multiple sources. Eventually, an article on K-Pop idols was located talking about “Boba Eyes,” meaning dark, round, shiny eyes. That is two words learned and one remembered.
