There's a Rowan tree in our garden that was a squirrel planted finding 25 years ago. Today it's almost as tall as the ouse and covrred in blossom. The wood makes staffs that wizards can sue to ward off evil spirits (they say).

... not the first in the garden this year, but the first of the never pausing little creatures to stop for even a second to have its portrait taken. One goodish frame out of 47 as I tracked the bird up and down a cherry tree. These are the very devil to photograph.
