Any #yegbike friends know the state of 106St, south of 63Ave? The bookcase I want is in at IKEA. Being bike infrastructure, I assume it won’t be done until at least mid-Oct. The 8 blocks by MacEwan still aren’t finished and have been closed since 24Apr.

Hah, had a good run of not having any accidents with my new #bakfiets, but today after bike-commute home I managed to tip it over in our yard while hecking parking it in, and I flew over it sideways when I attempted to salvage the situation. My ankle is busted and got a two inch cut in my palm. My calf is also grumpy.

The bike looked fine after the incident, a few scratches to the box and frame from the looks of it, but I need to test drive it whenever my legs get better.

Stupid me. 😓

Having biked around with a #bakfiets for a few weeks, I have three main pain points with bike-related infra in #Espoo & #Helsinki:

- Not all places are accessible _on_ bike with a 2m+ #cargobike, which needs longer bends and more viz. Had to walk the bike many times.

- Crossing beg buttons are often out of reach when seated.

- Transporting things is mentally exhausting in places where the surface has small holes/bumps, or when crossings have even a 1" drop that require you to slow down a ton.

Ich bin am Wochenende ein Muli gefahren. Was ein schönes, kleines und cooles Lastenrad. Hier nicht ganz so ausgestattet, wie ich es nehmen würde, aber es macht Spaß.
Sehr schlaue Lösung für die ganz kleinen Beifahrer*innen:
Bakfiets bietet einen Einbaurahmen für MaxiCosi Schalen und Dank des Lochblechs und mit 2 Schrauben bzw. Kabelbindern sitzt das Ding fest und auch die Kleinsten können sicher mitgenommen werden.
