I’m watching the #BakingShow and the channel keeps showing ads for some car that supposedly gets a lot of software updates, and they styled the ads as horror movies. Like the actors are screaming “when will the updates stop?!?! Never!!!! Aggghhh”. And it’s got my teeth on edge because the whole internet of shit thing with surveillance and forced obsolescence is kinda horrifying in reality, and having actors sell it to us as scary _on purpose_ is “a choice” for sure.
