Cooking is Art,
Baking is Science
Perhaps,
but this feels like art,
Fingers in flour,
Fresh strawberries swirling,
Made brighter by spinning blades.
Pears, vanilla, sharp cheddar meld,
It must be alchemy, if not art.
Cutting, rolling
Flavours light on my tongue.
My pants dusted white,
The oven awaits.
You watch as these works grow,
What I fashion.

I have bread and bread buns in the oven now. Pounding the dough while thinking of an ex boss "Balls Parsley!" he was an extremely bad boss. Also while kneading the dough I couldn't help but think after smelling what smelled vaguely of beer of those yeasties partying away in my dough. They have no possible way to know they are about to die in the oven unlike us who know we will die. Maybe they are better off? ;)
