i called this one "starbreaker heartgazer", i think it'll make for a nice album closer whenever that time comes... glitchy and heartfelt at the same time, which is often my primary goal

My latest #chiptune / #opna / #16bit track is a fast paced, shmup-style #techno piece. Also made a #pixelart cover animation for it, a duck dropship pilot 🦆

When developing it I had an idea but it refused to work out, until I gave up and let the piece develop on its own terms, and it all started to come together.

So if your creation doesn't want to obey your vision, let it go and see where it takes you, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Try out #Deflemask, #BambooTracker, ProTracker, etc. or music markdown.

  If you are not a professional composer, then tools like LMMS / Fruity are appealing. Unfortunately there remains the huge issue of finding good sample sets.

#Chiptunes allow you to use banks of presets and the end result generally sounds more cohesive and retro (if thats what you are going for).
