Feeling pleased with myself for successfully cleared my first #Bambulabs P1P hot end clog. Fairly easy now I've done it once, learned about cold pulls and how to take the hot end apart to use the needle tool. It was my fault, was using 3rd party PLA Silk and didn't have it hot enough most likely. Only downside is it failed 8 hours into a 12 hour print 😞

Just ordered my #Bambulabs P1P to P1S upgrade kit. I missed out on the previous ordering windows but realized they open at 9am EST so set an alarm for it today!

Is there anywhere that explains the differences between the various build plate types? Specifically for a #bambulabs #3dprinter.

The difference between the textured build plate and the high temp build plate are relatively self explanatory, but when would I want to use the engineering plate? and where does the cool temp plate come in, given that it just seems like a worse textured plate..

Just had a pretty dramatic 3d print failure - a big, flat part warped so much it started pulling the print surface sticker off the flexible plate. During the print I thought it looked like a layer shift, but no - it was just some ABS filament flexing some muscle. I'll have to try again with a different material, but in the meantime, check out this timelapse!

And here's the timelapse from the big burgundy king and queen. The infill pattern used is called gyroid, and it seems almost to glow as the angle changes within. This was printed in Bambu PLA-CF.

My printer records timelapses of prints by default, but today's the first day I've ever really gone looking for them. Here's the video from printing the whole set of white marble chess pieces. #3dprinting #BambuLabs

I picked up some new filament this week - some #BambuLabs burgundy PLA-CF and their marble-look-alike PLA. I immediately made a little chess set with the marble, then as a test print for a bigger project I made a 2x-scale king and queen from the carbon fibre stuff. I can't put into words the sheer glee I feel when I pick up and hold the big ones, and I'm really enjoying #3dprinting as a way to make stuff that messes with the internal scale in your head.

Kleines Upsi bei #BambuLabs - deren #3DDrucker #Bambu X1C/P1P sind mit einer closed Firmware ausgestattet und hängen in der #Cloud. Ich denke den meisten meiner Follower sollten einige Antworten auf "what could go wrong" einfallen. Nunja -es gab einen Cloud-Fuckup, als Folge haben viele Drucker einfach angefangen zu drucken. Einige fanden mehr oder weniger gelungene Ausdrucke, andere ihren Drucker in Trümmern – hat ja keiner mit gerechnet und ggf. Druckrum nicht frei.

I’ve tried everything else: various sorts of rims, other adaptors, and electrical tape. All had their own problems.

Alright - I've had my #bambulabs #p1p #3dprinter for a bit over a month now, and feel like I've racked up enough hours without that I can give a reasonably informed review of it's performance.

Keep in mind as you read, that this was my first entry to 3d printing, so there may be some aspects I assume are unique to the P1P that aren't, and some aspects that I assume are universal to all printers that in fact aren't. Let me know if you spot any such cases.

Alright - so starting off with the positive,

the P1P is an absolutely stellar starting point to the world of 3d printing. The price tag is maybe a tiny bit high compared to some of the budget options in the field, but in my research looking at various options, it's just about the best "bang for your buck" option on the market today.

Between opening the box and printing my first benchy took maybe an hour all said and done, and that included all the learning curves you'd expect in dealing with your very first printer

Bambulabs P1P arrived this evening.

Doing a 20 minute benchy is amazing. The speed is making me speechless and yelling out expletives at once.

Such a step up from an Ender-3 (original version). And just having the confidence that any model I want to print will just start and give no issues is making me giddy.

I’m not a minis guy. I prefer generic tokens if anything. But with my swanky new #BambuLabs #X1C #3DPrinter I thought I’d see what it can do with some old #Dragonlock skeleton minis stls I had available.

Considering I used stock slicer settings and a 0.4mm nozzle these turned out way better than I’d have predicted. I’ll have to try printing one of them again when my 0.2mm nozzle arrives to see how much difference it makes on the details.
