Introducing another #WildOz friend from our #CameraTrap. This is a southern brown bandicoot (Isoodon obesulus). These #bandicute marsupials dig nice little holes in the forest floor to find food (invertebrates, fungi, fruits) and in the process they contribute to important ecosystem processes like nutrient and water cycling, seed and spore dispersal… If you don’t know me yet you’ll soon learn that bandicoots are some of the best Australian mammals ;) #MammalWatching #wildlife #nature
