These two banjos have been hibernating for months in my apartment inside of a big rectangular plank, whilst I searched for a #bandsaw that I could use to liberate them. In due time at least one of them will be the first instrument I've ever sold! (Friend already paid for one sight unseen...)

On my very cheap #bandsaw I made a good hack.
To replace the blade, instead of having a very long slot across half of the table (making it flimsy) I made a slot where to lower both sides of the blade as a whole.
It works smoothly.
The only drawback, pretty minor in my case, is my table is fixed and can't be inclined.
But sincerely, how many times did you incline the bandsaw table?

I know there’s a few mods out there to improve it; upgraded tires, upper guide, blade, and a riser block for resaw capacity. These upgrades seem to be a standard recommendation for most brands that I’ve looked at various price points. The general thoughts I’ve found have been its a good choice for a hobbiest, which I am.
