Yesterday I had some fun playing some #swing and ragtime on #banjolele and #euphonium (that was actually my friend Dan Posen) in a gala for the benefit of our children's school.

Proof in the attached video.

Apparently instead of learning the #ukulele, I should have stuck with my childhood ambition of learning to play the #banjo - I could be making "several dollars" by now! (The problem is that banjos are more expensive than ukuleles.)

#pedantry: It looks to me like the guy in the picture is playing a #banjolele, not a banjo.

Belated #introduction
#Singer without a musical partner. Mom to two #furkids, Bastian and Sage.
Off & on I learn to play my #banjolele. Used to play #bodhran, love singing #irishfolksongs - there's a playlist on my #soundcloud.
Also sing #acapella - can't accompany myself worth a darn.
Challenged myself in 2021 to record a #songaday for the holidays - 10 songs total.
Hoping to learn how to add accompaniment tracks via #audacity going forward.
Let me know what you think of my rambly intro.

New strum isn't too complicated, but it does have a rather counter-intuitive movement in the middle. Definitely need to keep at it for a while before I see how it suits an actual song.
