I was surprised after a few days to have more people following me than I had followed. Some nice Honduran rosewood supporting an 11” rolled brass tone ring. 99.9% of the turning was done in the shop by our lathe operator as he graciously trained me on some of the basics of the machine. I prepped and glued the blocks before they were all turned but the clean and lustrous final product and tight fit of the ring is all him.
Anyway, I now have me this slick tone ring, so onto the mahogany rim. #banjo #banjos #luthier

Deliverance is a classic 1972 movie starring Jon Voigt & Burt Reynolds. The movie is a thriller which pits four city adventurers against some local mountain men.
