Mastodon has more than seven thousands Instances, each with its own personal rules that must be evaluated one by one.

But in fact there are not more than seven thousand different regulations: many are identical to each other or differ only in a few points.

I think users, moderators, and admins would find it very convenient if Instances could choose to adopt some basic set of common regulations: something like GPL or Creative Commons licenses.

If you see that Instance X has adopted the Type "A" License you already know what it is without having to read the various points and so on.

And if Istance Y has adopted the same license but added few points, you need to read only those.

You may have never heard of #byoblu but in Italy is quite famous for being since many years one of the most notable hubs of conspirationists and fake news and for having been strongly connected to the 5-star movement.

Everyone can easily see on their public TL and on the main website byoblu.com conspiracy theories about #coronavirus, #5G, #medicine, #NoVax, #economy, references to racial substitution, #Qanon and so on, but it's all in italian.

In fact it's sorta of #freespeechextremist website/instance and many people left Twitter for Mastodon also because of the byoblu users.

(m) Diverse istanze stan bloccando l'istanza femminista spinster.xyz per posizioni transfobiche e non chiusura a Gab.

Una nota interessante é che Spinster non usa come software Mastodon ma Soapbox, che ne é un fork (ossia una derivazione: una versione modificata del software Mastodon) realizzato da Gab.

Soapbox é utilizzato anche da altre istanze, come glindr.org che a loro volta mostrano affinità con Gab (glindr é creato e gestito da un noto transfobico).

In sostanza il fatto che un'istanza usi Soapbox potrebbe dover far scattare un primo campanello d'allarme.
