Bold Breakfast Opinion... poaching is The Best way to cook eggs.
You only can get the perfect poach if the egg is FRESH as the albumen is thicker around the yolk, meaning the egg holds together 'tighter' when cooking.
If not you *will* get the white breaking off into 'whisps' and stringy whites.
Treat a fresh egg to the perfect poach, it's meant to be!
These eggs were laid today, no stirring or poaching cup required.

This chick here is my favourite hen, Ginger. A solid layer, beautiful grey and red feathers, friendly and intelligent. In the morning she watches me through the windows and asks for a stroll round the garden. A complete package. I think she'd be a great sitter too!

On related note, I looked up what the original #Doubleday #hardcovers are going for in #eBay and #AbeBooks, and both #Hyperion and #TheFallOfHyperion are going for crazy amounts of money (thousands and hundreds, respectively).
The #Endymion duology goes for somewhat more reasonable prices.
Also I wonder why did #Simmons change publishers, since Doubleday published the first two and #Bantam the last two.

I've meant to post some Bantam updates, but I've been a bit poorly and the cold weather has meant I haven't spent a lot of time on it. So here's an older pic of test fitting a new numberplate fixture - the one that came with the bike had several holes. Someone had riveted some sheet metal over the top to try and hide the damage. #bsa #bantam #motorcycle

Eventually they would all be lost to #TimeAndSpace but I remember how much joy I got from saving up for & reading, rereading, sharing & reading again everything up until #DwellersInTheCrucible when I discovered that book money was now #food money and had to stop.
It felt like forever, but lasted just a few impactful years

Spot the non-standard addition!
Given that my Bantam is now on 12 volts, I thought it might be fun to fit some indicators. The brackets are 3d printed and didn't need any modifications to the bike, except for some slightly longer bolts.
Now to find somewhere to mount the blinker fluid reservoir...
