Thus there was a built-in audience for one film and not the other.

It's not a good movie. But it's also kinda not terrible?

It's no different than any number of movies that are utterly stupid - all spectacle and no substance. But lo! this one's targeted at women. THAT'S what this year's iteration of GamerGate loserbros are crying about.

Beyond that, the #Barbieheimer meme is very appropriate. There's a current of existential absurdity running through both.

OK. So. I've seen the two movies, at the same day, with the one hour gap in between just for two beers with couple of friends (something something #Czech stereotypes).

I rate them 7/10 and 8/10, without saying which is which. They both had quite interesting parts I'll be thinink about in the following days.

Saw #Barbie last night, only seats were all the way against the left wall. During the quietest, most impactful scene - right at the end - there was a massive rumbling that could only be the bomb going off in the next theater over.
