from the bumpy-bumpy-bumpy narrow forest path to the painted bike lane with freeway-offramp-to-#BarburBlvd drivers trying to kill you, #Terwilliger #pdxBikes ride from Lake Oswego to #Portland would be a lot nicer if we spent a fraction of that useless car-subsidizing funny money on the bikeway. All of that speed, just to go sit in standstill traffic a minute or two sooner, now ask any of these drivers about metro's RTP 🙄

Why the heck are people turning left across #BarburBlvd and then getting in line for the freeway at Bertha anyway? She could have kept going and just turned right. At least I don't think they're all coming from the bank here. Maybe this satnav-suggested shortcut only works if you run the stop sign at speed and that's what she's mad about? (It's legal on a bike here, get on a bike if you want to do this.)

@HayiWena yes #BarburBlvd needs a bus lane road diet for about 8 miles, and I think people just need to see to believe it. Would certainly take some photo enforcement like from the cameras on the bus. The bus-and-turn-only lanes they've done have been fine, maybe they re-use the traffic signals to stop the whole roundabout for buses, probably need to hire some bus drivers though.

#BarburBlvd is a 7-mile stretch of #stroad which has killed people at a rate of at least one per year for as long as anyone can remember. It's right next to a 6-lane freeway. Completely senseless waste of lives and untold suffering. #ODOTGTFOpdx

We really need our #transportation agencies to do better for people on #eBikes, but what is it going to take? I usually don't ride this section of #BarburBlvd downhill since the bike lanes vanish over the #viaducts. (Terwilliger -> Capitol brings you into this at 02:13.) But either way, you must occupy the full lane somewhere. Imagine if the curb lanes were #transit priority / turn-only lanes, this could be so much nicer overnight. #ODOTGTFOpdx
