Had a good idea yesterday .. i have some older/unused leggings lying around .. was about to throw them away, but then i had an idea.
As i love the legwarmer style on me, and weather is getting better, wearing knitted legwarmers will be to warm soon. I took one of the old thicker nylon leggings and cut off the legs.
Now i have nice looking but thin legwarmers (more a leg decoration :D :D) .. will do it with all of my old ones .. love it!
Should also work with old a pantyhose (if they are tear resistant, they will survive the cutting without a ladder).

Additionally i play(ed) on Atari 5600, Gameboy (all of them excluding 3DS series), Mega Drive, N64, Game Gear, Lynx, Dreamcast etc.

Good morning fellow Dinosaurs..

Today is Monday for me, so basically a 4 day week :D .. (i know it´s Tuesday ;o)). We had a country wide strike yesterday .. all public transportation was on hold for 24h. No trains, no busses, no ships, no planes .. so i stayed at home.

I also ordered a new skirt at the weekend .. it arrived yesterday .. love it! It is a little longer than the other ones i own but i like it. I can adjust the length anyway by rolling up the top :o).

Yesterday, I went on a #barefoot walk to the Trans Rights Counter-Protest. Originally, we would have worked to drown out the poisonous words of a certain infamous extreme right TERF.

Well, they decided not to turn up — instead, it became a celebration of all things trans, queer, and of women's rights. I held a rainbow banner, I cheered, I hollered, I booed a couple of transphobes who decided to turn up, I saw a couple of my colleagues, I saw some of my students — and I had a great time.

Bonus #barefoot walk content! After the Trans Rights Counter-Protest, I and a couple of people I know from Discord but had never met decided to find some grub on Cuba Street (we had Satay Kingdom, always a favourite of mine).

After that, we took a walk up Cuba Street to see Cuba Dupa — not really my thing, but I liked what I saw. I particularly liked the acrobatic escape artist. We had some Duck Island ice cream on the way back towards the bottom of Cuba Street.

A little bit on the kinky side today at work .. *hrumph, hrumph*.
I am usually the 1st in the office and sometimes i use this fact to take some pics :D

It´s feeling so good to be able to wear what i want .. and by now i only got positive feedback from everywhere .. what else could i want?

I feel so bad for other ppl being attacked everywhere, i wonder why it is like that. I had a one week vacation not long ago, and we visited a big german city .. i wore skirts all the time, my normal outfit .. shorts, skirts, nylon leggings and legwarmers, painted toe and fingernails, rings on the toes etc. Not a single bad experience in a full week. The opposite happened, young women asked where to get the nail polish, 2 older ladys were positivly shocked and we talked about 30 minutes about stuff and so on. It was a 100% positive week and i think i am even more flashy .. an obvious guy(prominent beard) in nylons and a skirt .. it really seemed no one cared at all, and if, it was nice.
On the other hand i also know, that this heavily depends on the region here in Germany .. there are parts of the country, where would not feel comfortable, but i don´t have to go there .. luckily.

One thing is new to me though. This skirt has no pockets, and as i am used to have all my stuff on me, i tried a handbag (can be seen in one of the pics from the vacation 2 weeks ago), but i did not really feel comfortable with it. I now ordered sling bag and i like it. Looks good imho and even highlights my boobies a little bit .. <3 <3.

It was so lovely to see such a great turnout at the PPTA/NZEI joint strike for better pay, better conditions, better resourcing, and better recognition of the mahi that part-timers, LATs (unqualified teachers), and kaiako Māori contribute to the profession.

We cheered for unity, we cheered for all our demands to be heard, we booed the education minister who uses six weeks on the job as an excuse (you've been associate minister since 2020). Don't tell us today was our day; don't tell us you understand because you've been there; we want action, not platitudes.

As a former colleague recently wrote on their timeline that although they might not currently be a teacher, they will always be a teacher on the inside.

I also wouldn't want to be anything else, and I'm hoping that being at the start of my career affords me a few more years before I seriously decide to quit — my hope is that I don't have to.
