Looking through the #BarnesCollection catalogue of their recent #Modigliani Up Close exhibition, I came across this portrait from 1918, that #PabloPicasso purchase in the late1930s & kept until he died (its now in the Picasso Museum, Paris)...
Its interesting to think about what one artist sees in another's work; here (especially in the pose) I can sort of see some affinities to Picasso portraits... if not necessarily in the form of representation - was that why he hung on to it?
