Update: This got worse.
My wife got COVID. She sent a Paxlovid Rx to #bartelldrugs (because she was in a brain fog). I went there. 1 Pharmacist and 1 PA, both looked awful. They said 2 hours or less.
I came back in 2 hours.
They said another 2 hours or tomorrow morning.
I begged. This is Paxlovid. She was on day 3. The pharmacist said ok. 2 hours.
I waited 2 hours in the store, checking the desk several times.
The pharmacist finally checked. They didn't have it. Had never had it.
@ohmu #Bartelldrugs always used to have pleasant, helpful employees who looked happy to work there. After the takeover😞 all those employees quit. Replaced by staff who look like the were required to leave their souls at the door. Yeah. We stopped going there, too.
@ohmu I switched over to a neighborhood pharmacy because #bartelldrugs deteriorated almost immediately—staff changes, poor customer service, product shortages. Such a shame.
So here's a #Seattle area question:
Have you noticed a difference in your local #bartelldrugs since #riteaid Aid purchased the chain?
Our local BD, Roosevelt Square, went from being served by the same helpful friendly #pharmacy staff for years to, almost overnight, what seems to be a perpetually under-staffed disaster with constant churn in just a few months.
We finally gave up and switched to #safeway .
I'm sad about that.

Today's experience at #BartellDrugs reminded me once again that corporate consolidation is awful and should be opposed at every turn. What was once a great #PNW pharmacy has become uniformly awful after it was absorbed by #RiteAid.
Years ago (2012) I partnered with my friend Rod who was CMO at PEMCO insurance and we made these coffee mugs to sell in #BartellDrugs stores. Great collab. We did a series of, I think, 6 total mugs.
