#Bartering for the win! I'll be doing some education work and in exchange I'll be getting #watercolor lessons from a professional #artist who also teaches at the college level.
I am so excited.

Much is going on in my #technology world. Currently I am working on two #blockchain DLT projects which if successful will revolutionize #governance and release #bartering in ways not done before. @mazzy #Bartering is a fun adventure. Cash is acceptable, but many folks barter. There’s a #FreeStore, too. Recent good trades: 3 meals of vegan falafel gyros for my salve and herbal oils. A heart wand for a tie-dyed hoodie. A basket for a hat. Bags of lemon catnip for crystals or other ornaments. I make heart wands from willow so I can give away or trade or sell a “small item”. I made up a blessing to go with each heart wand. The interaction is beyond financial.

How does the #bartering work in practice? Does everyone literally just set out a stall of what they have to give and then go looking for what they need? Like a real-life Freecycle.

Or do people directly swap goods rather than trading them for money?

My own village has a monthly Share and Repair cafe but, unfortunately, the sharing side took a back seat after various lockdowns and restrictions in the UK.
