Work has begun on #NebyooSkate. Due to the portability between macOS and iOS, I’ve once again chosen #lowreznx and delved into #BASIC programming again.

I think I've found a bug in a 1977 version of Basic... I wonder if it's a new finding?

110 A=SQR(2)
120 B=SQR(3)
130 C=SQR(6)
140 PRINT A*B-C
150 PRINT C-A*B

Turns out A*B-C is non zero, which is fair and more or less expected, but C-A*B is different - it's zero - and I didn't expect that.

This is of course Microsoft #Basic for the #Commodore #PET. The problem seems to be present in all their 6502 basics.

@alexcleac У мене першою мовою був #basic на синклері з 48 кіло пам'яті. Потім був #pascal на 286 процесорі. Після - #assembler. Після я довго мучився з чим завгодно (наприклад #geant - отка екзотика), поки не знайшов #python, який завдяки потужному залізу (а воно зараз на тлі 48к усе потужне) узагалі не вбивається. Але в улюбленому геймдеві марна річ. Хоча якщо міць наростять, а її наростять, то ще подивимося.
Стоп. Я ще кодив на калькуляторі МК52, тож було життя і до бейсіка.

When I went on my #basic #leadership course with the Red Cross, the very first tip our instructor gave us was:

Finally got around to imaging some very old SCSI hard drives from my #apple2 gs which contains some of my very early programming work. Figured I'd upload it to #github for posterity. This #videogame is called Swamp Land written in #applesoft #BASIC and was inspired by #BeagleBros text character animation based games like TextTrain. I wrote it over a weekend back around 1980 and was the first thing I was really proud of.

Das ist es. Bin ein oller Boomer, arbeite mit PC's, seit es sie gibt. Vor 40 Jahren die ersten in d. Industrie eingeführt, mittels #Basic die 1. Seite > LPT01 gedruckt; DOS, irgendwann kam Vorläufer v. Win98. Mein 1. privater PC hat 2 MB ! Festplattenkapazität. MB ! Damals haben wir noch die bit's u. bytes gezählt.😂
Weiß also einiges über/von den Kisten u. so manch Anekdote v. den Stammtischen in Silicon Valley.😂 Darüber können wir mal schreiben.
