Punished for the crime of being 10 minutes late thanks to a sick kid that needed care. This is the reality of bureaucracy. No one should have to jump through hoops and be punished for failed hoop-jumps. Just provide #BasicIncome and fire the admins who once got paid to punish people.

Global News - UBC study: What happens when you give homeless people $7,500?

In Vancouver Canada they just did an experiment where they gave a number of homeless people $7500.

What did they do with it? Obtained a place to stay and bought food and clothing.

Cost the government $800 LESS than they would have otherwise.

@andrewducker Not so astounding, really. The constant lesson that #BasicIncome trails tells us is that unconditional money enables people to not only do what they need, but to do what they want.
