Finished my post-holiday #Crochet For Me project! My first #crocheted hat. It may yet get a pompom, but it's wearable as-is and I like it!

#BasketWeave stitch from Loops & Threads' Facets roving yarn in Seaglass on a 4mm hook.

The photo of the skein captures the colour a little better: smooth changes from bright emerald to royal purple.

I didn't follow a specific pattern, so I'm pleased with the decreases at the top, but 100 stitches around would have been better than 90 for a looser fit.

#Basketweave! I do so love how the work grows with just one thread of #yarn, whether #knit or #crochet. Am up to 7 "woven" rows now. Alternating work on this one and the triangular, #heather tri-coloured #Stylecraft #CandySwirl cake #shawl.

Found 6 balls (not balls) of taupe acrylic #yarn that I bought years ago. It was cheap 😃

Having rediscovered it, I am now #crocheting a #blanket or wrap or #shawl (a layer, I don't know) using the #basketweave stitch. I like that it looks complicated to make, and that it makes a thick fabric to hopefully keep the warmth in a bit.
