@billba #Bass & #ukulele is common. When I started bass, I was jamming with it after just 6 days of practice.

Here's my short course on bass: Play the root note at the start of the bar, and the rest is improv. You can rarely go wrong with a 1-5 pattern. Anticipate where the chord sequence is going, and walk up or down to the next root. If you hit the wrong note, few will notice as long as you maintain the rhythm/groove. If you miss a note, don't sweat it, just continue with the next note.

@KFuentesGeorge I play ukulele and bass. Ukulele is relaxed and unpretentious. Bass is great! But also demanding. There's a lot of pressure on the bass player, but I've never had so much fun playing music since I started playing bass five years ago.

There's a lot of pressure on the #bass player. While the guitars blend into a wall of sound, and the banjo, mandolin, and fiddle players take their solo, or not, everyone depends on the bass player to maintain the rhythm and establish a groove.

But when it all comes together, the result is magic.

What a career! His brilliant bass playing is one of the reasons Van Morrison's Astral Weeks is such a masterpiece.

Keeping the fluid levels up with a bit of Thursday #bass 🔺

The Ibanez SRMS800 is finally done. Had to order an additional bass knob which took a few months to come, but it looks like it did when I bought it. Of course, one of the switches has disappeared and is now a knob (old setup was *"bass/mid/treble" *and the new setup is *"bass/high mids/low mids/treble"*). Very happy with the result. #bass #electronics #music

For some reason they didn't add that info so all I knew was that it is an #Ibanez BTB Premium w/ #Nordstand pickups, Mono-Rail bridge, #Gotoh turners, several EQ knobs+switches, multiple tonewoods.
