This #Ibanez SR300E was the first #BassGuitar I ever actually owned, even though I'd been playing for 18 years at that point--just always someone else's on long-term loan.
In 2018, I went to get new tires and new window tinting for my car. It ended up not needing new tires after all, but the tinting would take a few hours so I decided to walk up to Ted Brown Music (our local chain, from whom I've been buying music stuff since elementary school) to kill some time.
(no new tires = excess cash)

- sold my trusty but getting dusty #Ibanez SR300E and a 5W Hotone Thunder amp head to a 70yo retiree getting back into playing #BassGuitar.
- bought new strings for our AG95 semi-hollow body guitar; geeked out with the sales clerk (also a fan) about Ibanez instruments.
- much research of tools and services to be used later
- rehearsal for today's lake party gig.

Every instrument has a story. My first bass was a GT MicroBass bought fall 2018. Easy to play & sounds great. But I also want a full-size #bassguitar. Over the next summer, I borrowed a series of basses. The 3rd was an entry-level Yamaha that was quite nice, and I expected to buy a Yammy.
I then found this spotless 2010 MIA #Fender J in the local music store for a price that was too good to pass up. I later saw similar basses on-line for almost double the price!
