This is a Bassian thrush. Ordinarily, it is a secretive seeker of bugs in the undergrowth &, by & large, is very hard to spot as a consequence. Imagine my surprise when I was able to (furviely) not only approach it but have it stand & pose nicely for me.

We set a trailcam pointing at a hole next to the driveway for a few days, to see if it was a burrow. Nothing used the hole but there was lots of animal activity.
