It leaves a feeding of being betrayed by and whoever wrote the script. It started so damn good... But once reached season 4 everything becomes so inconsistent and irrational. It's clear to see they would need to turn left to get all they want and Marty knows it and still they turn right just to keep the plot going.
It's just going on circles again and again and the smart Marty becomes a spineless father and husband to a total psychotic Wendy.
