There's been a lot of petty comments on social media about the #BikeHangers being installed here by our council as part of a specially funded two-year trial. Some people whine about the loss of parking spaces, others that cyclists are getting preferential treatment. Pish!
#Bath is a small, walkable city, with many tiny flats without garages to store a bike. Time tor a redistribution of resources. More bicycle parking please. 🚲🅿

Congratulation to @saskia, Bicycle Mayor of Bath, who is one of three Green Party candidates elected to Bath & North East Somerset Council, representing the Lambridge district. Well done! More bike lanes, please? 🗳🎉

The local election results in #Bath aren't any surprise. "Decisions are made by those who show up" (Aaron Sorkin). We didn't see hide-nor-hair of any candidates from the loosing parties. Didn't even get leaflets from them. They were either too afraid to canvas residents and visit local doorsteps, or just plain lazy - expecting to be handed power on a plate.
