Die letzten drei T-Shirts, die ich zum Testen der #Batik-Technik gekauft hatte, haben nun auch ihren "Anstrich" erhalten 😉 und hängen zum Trocknen.
Grundsätzlich macht mir das viel Spaß, aber damit die Ergebnisse auch so werden, wie sie geplant sind, brauche ich noch reichlich Übung. Nee, auch wenn es so aussehen mag, gedacht waren alle anders (auch die ersten vier) 😇 😂

Etwas deprimierend war, dass meine selbstgefertigten Sachen überhaupt kein Interesse weckte. Leider war der angedachte Platz nicht mehr frei. So konnte ich nicht wie geplant die #Batik T-Shirts hängend präsentieren. Naja, gibt eben Optimierungsbedarf 😉

Die nächsten zwei Testobjekte. Beim linken war ich während des Färbens überzeugt, dass es voll in die Hose geht. Aber, ich staunte Bauklötze, beim Entfalten und Aufhängen kam ein unverhofft gutes Ergebnis zum Vorschein 😊
Der Herstellungsprozess hat aber noch reichlich Optimierungsbedarf 😳

So, ich bin noch die Auflösung schuldig. Aber das Trocknen hat etwas länger gedauert. Nun ist alles fixiert und braucht noch einen Waschgang. Den mache ich aber erst, wenn ich den Rest fertig habe.

Looking to make some classic bajus i reckon (the silhouette is similar to qipao or ao dai, that sorta southeast asian style). You can tell I'm into multidimensional #printed #textiles, one of them I bought with my first pay raise years ago and I've felt too precious to use. No! I must change this attitude.
A couple of those #batiks are from small artisan studios that participated in the national craft week (held annually -- ohh shiii I'm in time for this year's) - I love the multiple layered stamping process that's becoming on-trend (mainly because they're shoo-ins for display at the main hall because the technical complexity is sublime). The rest are modern stuff - they're still cheaper than Liberty London tho. I still think about handsewing them! 🫠
