Batora: Lost Haven is an isometric action RPG where the primary conceit is that the player character has dual natures and can switch between them at will. Each nature does a different type of damage and has its own health bar.
There's a very dramatic plotline about reversing the destruction of the earth - it's apparently loosely based on a novel, and I really got the feeling there was a ton of lore that they thankfully didn't dump on me.
It's clearly an indie game, but it's very well made, and there were only a few areas I felt could use a little more polish (e.g. copyediting).
The dual-combat thing was interesting, but even with the addition of extra abilities and powerups, I found it somewhat tedious by the end - I would have liked the option for more puzzle mazes instead.
Overall, I had fun unwrapping the story - it was time well spent.
