This was what I wrote about in my #history thesis and today, on the anniversary of the #BattleOfHoseshoeBend, the #MuscogeeCreek tribe is announcing they will be pushing for a permanent memorial. I hope that they are successful! This battle was the end of the tribe and sealed their fate to eventually be sent to #Oklahoma on the #TrailOfTears. It also, through #AndrewJackson’s bad faith treaty, lead to the formation of the state of #Alabama on their stolen land.
