So far multiple power outages the longest being about two hours but very impressed with the crews out in this storm literally getting the power back on. Because of their work out in the elements I’ve got food not going bad and warm place to sleep. #bayareastorm

This storm is not kidding around. I don't think I could currently leave our neighborhood without swimming.

We're in absolutely no danger at our place from flooding (hooray for being on top of a hill), but the wind is ferocious. Tore down the awning on a gas station nearby. Trees down everywhere.

Power is out all around us and at least one nearby friend not only doesn't have power but also doesn't have cell service.

It's damp out there, and we have a 2-foot-deep stream in our back yard where a four-inch-deep gutter normally carries all the water away.

3.44 inches of rain since midnight and it's still coming down. People are out clearing storm drains themselves. I took a look from a distance at the new pump station at the end of the very-full Poplar Creek and confirmed that it IS pumping water into the Bay.
