Fresh new instructional video from Justin Garrison on getting #bazzite on your Steam Deck:
It basically boils down to a Steam-Linux issue.
At least with the flatpak. I changed the steam desktop file from: PrefersNonDefaultGPU=true
X-KDE-RunOnDiscreteGpu=true
to
PrefersNonDefaultGPU=false
X-KDE-RunOnDiscreteGpu=false
Now the flatpak steam launches just fine.

Maybe it was making my igpu from my zen4 fighting my GPU.
Not sure why it didn't affect me till very recently....
Not a "distro" but if you dev you should tryout #bluefin:

Or if you game checkout #bazzite:

"This isn't a distribution, you can always rebase back to Fedora without reinstalling. This is a unique relationship between upstream and downstream that is popular in cloud, but still new to the Linux desktop. "Custom images" seems to be a decent place to start since that's what people call them in cloud."
I mean I'm an AMD user. But I do game on #universalblue #Bazzite.
They definitely support secure boot for Nvidia users:
Live debugging my #SteamDeck running Metro Exodus with Fedora Cockpit.
Just one of those things we accidentally got for free in #Bazzite that I now can't live without.
Rebase from Silverblue:

Or Kinoite:

With whichever image/Desktop Environment you choose:

Or tryout the installer:

I've been on #bazzite🎮 for the past week myself after being on Kinoite-main since March.
Or Bazzite.

Have images for Nvidia users, as well as Steam Deck and Gnome variants as well.

The #bazzite team continues to push out fixes quickly, thanks to user feedback and testing.
Here are all the latest goodies of our hotrodded Fedora for the Deck and PCs!

@jorge can you comment on encrypted fs or other security considerations around using the deck as a portable linux desktop? One of the main things holding me back from really digging into desktop mode.
(I see you have a gnome flavor - that's the other thing so yay)
I want to ditch Windows once for all , I want to thank all the developers working hard to make Linux a more gaming friendly OS.

#bazzite 1.0 is out now.
I've been using it on my desktop for about (3) three days myself now. ❤️🔥

It's thanks to Steam Deck that I was brave enough to try Kinoite.
Now it's come full circle haha. 😅

Since https://universal-blue.org images are just hot rodded Fedora we can take advantage of mature cloud management tools.
For example if you turn on ssh in Bazzite you can download the cockpit flatpak and manage the entire system remotely via a nice web UI. Nothing special needed on the client.
This is great for our `bazzite-deck` images because that PC is in a TV cabinet with no keyboard. You can do the same when running the image on the deck.
