I'm seeing the tracks being played by #StuartMaconiesFreakZone on #bbc6music this evening via @BBC6MusicBot and it seems to be the soundtrack of my early childhood, so I'm going have to download that to listen to tomorrow. The track which caught my eye was Supercar Club Twist. As I was about 3 at the time I did not get the link between Supercar, piloted by Mike Mercury, and fan club sponsor National brand petrol stations, whose brand character was Mr. Mercury.

The other day, I heard The Dream Machine for the first time on #BBC6Music. Of course, I had to look them up on #MusicBrainz only to find there was no entry. I've since added one, yet it got me thinking that it's a real shame that the #BBC no longer contributes, as here was a BBC Introducing featured group without an entry. Surely it's important that big organisations pay staff to contribute to #opendata, as is the case with #OpenStreetMap?
