Finally! Hello, Fitz!
I've finally reached the 19th book in the BBC Eighth Doctor novels, The Taint, and the first appearance of the infamous Fitz Kreiner. Doofus that he is, he's what this series desperately needed. Sam plays off of him well, too, which improves her (sometimes bland) character.
Now I have another favorite companion who never made it to live action.
