I understand exactly how this happened. The author of the story is probably assigned to the 'BBC Future' desk, so the author's byline automatically tags all of the author's stories as 'BBC Future'. But there should be a manual override for web/app publishing when a journalist assigned to one desk writes a story for another desk to avoid these sorts of embarrassing, inappropriate subject tags.
