Any other year the men's test team, and those around it, would have seen some first place recognition in #BBCSPOTY, but totally fair play to give so much to the football team that brought home a trophy and did so much to improve that game. The women almost made me interested in soccer again.

Congratulations Beth Mead on winning it. But so many great stories, as ever, in sport.
One of the things I love is hearing the motivations and challenges, behind what we see on the pitch, court, track etc.
Beth Mead herself has an extremely poorly mother, but knowing her mum still got to see - and share - her success of winning the Euros and now SPOTY must feel incredibly special.
And Rob Burrow former Rugby League star - who has #MND - is so inspiring too.
