@vid Consider Nelson, BC, for what you want. The nicest part of #BC to live, in my opinion, is the #SouthernInterior: big lakes, mountains, mostly pleasant climate, vineyards, fruit orchards, forest. Very dry and sunny in some locations; some are perhaps too hot. They're getting more forest fires though.

The problem with #Québec's Winters these days isn't that they're too long, the problem is that they aren't cold enough. Need to stay well below 0°C to be cold and crisp, not damp.
