@bipolaron I have a 3D printer, and I might be able to help out. I've only printed a few hundreds of hours, and I've gotten some 4 to 5 board prototypes to hold together. My knowledge is probably specific to my printer to some extent:

BCN3D has good open source 3D printers in my experience. This is my printer, which was $3000 a couple years ago. I'm away from my house for at least the next month, but I'd be happy to work with you to get a small number of 3D models printed.
