For today's moth shot we have Feralia deceptiva. We only get 2 Feralia species in BC, and I'm lucky to catch them both where I live. Unique-looking species; even my moth-deploring wife admits they're pretty attractive.

Always one of my favourites: a Ceanothus silk moth (Hyalophora euryalus) spotted in Osoyoos, BC in May of this year, Beautiful specimen, too. We get a ton of Polyphemus silk moth where I live, but occasionally one of these shows up and it's a real treat.

Tomorrow I'm doing my very first twitch for a beetle. Sod it. Getting up well before dawn to drive down to Delta, BC to search for a Spotted Asparagus Beetle. Totally normal behaviour.
