The Alley Cats released their debut LP, “Nightmare City”
They were already veterans of the LA underground scene, having played in the city for several years. They make straight rock with a punky edge.
Guitarist Randy Stodola trades vocals with bassist Dianne Chai, creating a male/female vocal sound similar to the band X.
It’s a weird album in that from start to finish it’s pretty good by itself. But it also includes re-recorded versions of several of their past releases, specifically “Too Much Junk” and “Nothing Means Nothing Anymore”, which to my ears sound a bit watered down compared to the original versions that I absolutely love.

I'm sort of bored of #cyberpunk always happening in big, dark cities. I'd like to explore the themes on a bright, colourful beach resort. I'd like to call it #caribpunk (from Caribbean) or #beachpunk.
