Well that's a first. Found a fly in my #espresso grinds this morning. It wasn't medium roasted or anything, so it probably got pulled into the bag during packaging.
Milk was also juuuuust starting to turn. 😮💨 They can't all be good days.

2nd attempt at homemade barista oat milk.
1 cup oats (soaked 1hr)
1 cup cashews (soaked in hot water)
2 tablespoons of neutral oil
1/2 tablespoon of sugar
Pinch of salt
Definitely significantly thicker, but still doesn’t foam well. So all I have is a very flat white.
I think it actually needs sugar to bind it altogether. The cup of cashews should be plenty of fat. Will hold the oil next time.

It’s wonderfully practical. You can’t beat shelf stable “dairy”.
Today’s #beanlife is a cold brew from Black Rock. Tastes a little burnt. Not my favorite. I shall remember this.
